Politics

I read the news about the political of Japan from the internet. It has a protest in Japan because Prime Minister Naoto Kan and his Cabinet didn't come to visit Yasukuni Shrine in this year. Yasukuni Shrine is a Shinto shrine that located in Tokyo. It is dedicated to the spirits of soldiers and other people who died fighting in the war of the Emperor of Japan. At the Japan Education center in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward, there were 190 people that welcomed with Prime Minister Naota Kan's dicision to stay away. The group was included citizens who lost their relatives in World War II and who generally object to politicians visiting Yasukuni Shrine. The day marked the 65th anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II and the first since the Democratic Party of Japan took power last year. It is the first time in nearly 30 years that the entire Cabinet has refrained from visiting the contentious shrine. This year marked on the 100th year of Japan and Korea Annexation Treaty too. However, Sadakazu Tanigaki, the president of the Liberal Democratic Party, he said that he will go to visit Yasukuni Shrine on Sunday, the anniversary of the end of World War II. He wants to go because he wants to remember the one of history of Japan.
